Description
A three-story, multi-building, 770-bed residence halls, Villa del Puente, Posada San Pedro, Pueblo de la Cienega and El Portal (A/B Buildings), and Residence Life Administrative Offices located in the Highland Residential Community adjacent to Highland north of Sixth Street.
This project created a neighborhood community by taking a series of disconneced sites and creating four blocks of student-oriented facilities, including three blocks of housing with 230 students in each and a mixed-use fourth block with dining, classrooms, and residence life offices. Each housing community is designed to create a secure, central courtyard with a regular facade along the street. The exterior of the buildings are clad in brick to relate directly to the campus while the interior courtyards are finished in stucco, with native planting and fountains.
