Procurement of professional services for smaller projects with fees less than $500,000 facilitated via the Annual Request for Qualifications (ARQ) process.
Interested respondents submit their qualifications on-line which will be utilized to populate a consultant database. On a project specific basis a standing committee evaluates firms' qualifications and ranks accordingly.
The University will then negotiate an open-end, multi-term contract with the top ranked firm or firms.
Projects utilizing the ARQ selection process for prime consultants are primarily associated with renovation and alteration work in existing facilities, building additions, and some small stand-alone facilities.
Larger projects may use this process for selection of professionals providing surveying, geotechnical engineering, materials testing, commissioning, and specialty consulting services under direct contract to the University.
The ARQ invitations are typically advertised in January. Submittals are accepted year round.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING ARQ
Complete submittal requirements are described in the ARQ under Instructions to Respondents, Contents of Submittal.
There are two parts to the submittal process. Please review the ARQ and familiarize yourself with these parts before beginning the process.
PART I - UA Consultant Data Sheet Component
Respondent will utilize the on-line form to fill out contact, discipline, emphasis, licensing and insurance information.
PART II – Government Standard Form SF330
Respondent will need to complete the required portions of the Government Standard Form SF330. The required portions of the Government Standard Form SF330 include the following:
Part I, Sections "E", "F", and "G". See the ARQ for more information on these sections.
Part I, Section "H" is optional.
Client References: Respondent should include a list of general client references. References should include contact name, company name, address and telephone number. These are general references in addition to the project-specific contact names provided in Section "F."
