The UA Enterprise GIS (EGIS) is a service housed within the UA Department of Planning, Design & Construction. EGIS manages the University’s system of record for campus spatial information, which support administrative, operational, and academic needs. GIS is used at the University to manage assets, analyze the physical campus, assist with wayfinding, manage space, and much more. EGIS services and resources are provided to students, staff, faculty, and members of the Tucson community at large.
GIS server infrastructure supports university web map applications, including publishing map services, hosting applications, and more. Map services are available for use by other campus development teams to provide up to date information for their applications.
The EGIS hosts a number of web map applications supported by Enterprise GIS data. EGIS Staff develops or manages development of applications both internally and in diverse teams to improve wayfinding, public information & safety, campus analytics, asset management, and more.
EGIS scopes and manages internal projects as well as provides assistance to campus departments with their GIS projects.
Project-specific maps, reports, analyses, and data conversions are provided on an as-needed basis. Please contact us to collaborate.CONTACT US
The EGIS maintains a wide variety of data that is available upon request. Please contact us for access to data downloads, metadata documents, and REST services.
